Our Staff
Kim Swanson - Director
Kim has been with the Prince of Peace community for over ten years volunteering in various areas. Since 2022 she has been a teacher at CDLC and now also the Director. Kim looks forward to continuing with CDLC’s mission and the passion that it has for its preschoolers and families. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Her passion is children and families, and how she can make things better for them and for each child with whom she has the privilege of working.
Kierstin Anderson-Glass – Office Assistant
Kierstin has been at CDLC since 2020, first as a teacher and now as our Office Assistant. She attended college at the University of St. Thomas. During her time outside of preschool, she loves going to sports games (go Twins, Timberwolves, Lynx, and Vikings!), coaching a fastpitch softball team, going for nature walks, baking, reading, and crafting.
Dana Anderson-Glass – Teacher
Dana began teaching at CDLC in September 2016. Dana has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Educational Psychology/Special Education from the University of Minnesota. Dana has two grown children. When Dana is not teaching she and her family enjoy playing and watching sports.
Rachel Kalsow – Teacher
Rachel has been going to Prince of Peace all of her life! Rachel started teaching at CDLC in 2022 and she loves it! She has been working in preschool for the last 9 years. Rachel loves coming to work and being surrounded by amazing people. She has been working with kids pretty much all her life. She also loves baking and owned her own cottage foods baking business for 6 years called RachCakes Vegan Baking. She also loves being outside and spending time in the garden with her partner.
Michelle Giildenzopf – Teacher
Michelle began teaching at CDLC in September 2002. Michelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Winona State University. Michelle has two children who attended CDLC. She also teaches summers at the Minnesota Zoo. One of Michelle’s favorite things is being with her family. They enjoy playing board games together.
Lily Giildenzopf – Teacher
Lily graduated from Augustana University in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education. After graduation, she gained experience as a substitute teacher in a variety of classroom settings before joining the CDLC team. Lily loves encouraging children to express their creativity, discover new interests, and enjoy learning through play. Outside of the classroom, she is happiest working on creative projects, attending live music concerts, and spending time outdoors. She is excited to continue building relationships with CDLC children and families and looks forward to another wonderful year of learning, laughter, and fun!
Lisa Osen – Teacher
Lisa began teaching at CDLC in February of 2020. Lisa has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Augsburg College and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota. Lisa has three children, two of whom attended CDLC. Outside of school Lisa enjoys spending time with her family. Together they enjoy biking, boating and hiking.
Essie Geiger - Life Explorers (SEL Class)
Essie has worked at CDLC since 2017 as an aide, teacher and now as our Life Explorers teacher (SEL class). In all positions Essie enjoys being with the children and watching them grow, learn and teach others. Essie has a degree in Human Services from Rochester, MN Community and Technical College. In Essie’s free time she likes to be outside, traveling and spending time with her family. Essie has a son and a daughter. Essie’s daughter is a graduate of CDLC.
Max Nelson – Movement with Max and Aide
Max graduated from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities in spring 2024 with a degree in Sports Management, bringing experience from nannying, leading youth tennis camps, and directing sport enrichment programs through Skyhawks and Kidokinetics. Outside of work, Max loves traveling to new places, cheering on the Vikings, doing sports photo and video editing, and spending time with family. Max is excited to connect with each child and be part of their developmental journey through movement and fun!
Dorean Nolen – Aide
Dorean began assisting at CDLC in September 2013. Dorean also works in the Prince of Peace Infant Toddler Center. She has two children and is a very active volunteer at Prince of Peace and her children’s schools. Dorean enjoys walking and being in nature during her free time.
