Kim Swanson – Director & Teacher

Hello families!  I have been with the Prince of Peace community for eight years volunteering in various areas. Since 2022 I have been a teacher at CDLC and now also the Director.  I look forward to continuing with CDLC’s mission and the passion that it has for its preschoolers and families. I graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. My passion is children and families, and how I can make things better for them and for each child with whom I have the privilege of working. Some things about me, I am married to my high school sweetheart, have two children and have a puppy named Sierra. My family loves to go on adventures and spend a lot of time outdoors exploring. Our favorite things to do together are camping, hiking, traveling, and trying new things.

Robin Kutz – Music

Hello Friends! I’m Robin Kutz. I’ve been at Prince of Peace since 1999, where I worked at the Infant Toddler Room with my young sons Korbin and Riley tagging along. They attended CDLC and grew up here worshiping at POP and are now young adults. I enjoyed volunteering as a youth leader for them all those years. I’m currently in the Prince of Peace Celebration Choir, Bell Choir, and the POP Artist Guild. I grew up in Burnsville, went to Faith Covenant Church in Burnsville, and met my husband Kal at Burnsville High School. We both went to Luther College, and then settled here in our hometown. I got my master’s in teaching at St. Thomas. I’ve worked in the Burnsville Schools for many years as both an E.A. and a teacher. I’ve taught all ages but found that my energy most resonates with the younger folks. So, when CDLC’s music position opened this fall, I was excited to put my gifts of teaching and music to good use. Music changes the world for the better! I love sharing the joy of music with our sweet young learners.
